PREVAILING WAGE PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

Location: Sacramento, CA (on-site 100%)
Salary Range: $35.00/HR- $45/HR (depending on experience and education)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Prevailing Wage Payroll Administrator to join a growing team, where advanacement is available. This role is responsible for full-cycle payroll for 50ee's and certified payroll administration for prevailing wage projects. Experience with LCP Tracker and DIR is also appreciated, as is union payroll experience.

The ideal candidate has direct experience supporting and performing public works projects and is comfortable managing 3+ prevailing wage jobs at once.


Key Responsibilities

Certified Payroll

  • Administer and oversee certified payroll reporting for prevailing wage projects in compliance with:
    • Davis-Bacon Act
    • California DIR requirements
    • LCP Tracker

Process Improvement & Problem Solving

  • Operate with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines and resolve compliance discrepancies.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to interpret evolving labor compliance regulations.
  • Contribute to process improvements as the company continues to scale its public works portfolio.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in an accounting or finance major is highly preferred
  • Prior experience handling certified payroll in conjunction with:
    • Payroll reconciliation
    • Job cost reporting
    • Invoicing or closeout support (a strong plus)
  • Additional accounting or construction finance experience is highly desired, as there is a clear growth path if one comes with some GAAP compliance experience and education.
